This site is compliant with the European GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation). Only technical information known by the web server (pages viewed, IP address, etc.) or by the software (number of clicks, duration of exercises, window resolution, input device) are kept in order to improve the software and obtain statistics on usage.
As with any web-application, there is a temporary session cookie, which is essential to the operation of the site, and which is destroyed when the browser is closed. If session cookies are not allowed in the browser, games cannot be started.
The information site is powered by Wordpress and contains plugins, some of which use cookies. We also use Google services for automatic translation and video hosting. We have no control whatsoever over these trackers.
A game in use sends a pulse to the server every minute or so (every 30s for a video), in order to keep the session active.
A game left unused for an hour automatically returns to the home page, which may cause an error message if the Internet is offline at the time. If you're using complex games (e.g. zebra puzzle editor, Turing machine, etc.), it's essential to make backups, especially if you're away. We do not guarantee data loss.
If your Internet connection goes down during a game, you can continue to play. However, if the connection is re-established after an hour's delay, you risk being disconnected if the server has lost the session.
Finally, as the server is shared, it is not possible to launch two game instances in two different tabs. The older instance is disconnected to avoid overloading the server.
